Is that big enough? Glenn has passed his first hundred miles (not far from Seattle), completed his first 1000 miles, crossed the continental divide, cycled at 9000 feet (and hundreds of miles around 7000 feet), reached the half-way point and completed 2000 miles almost immediately thereafter. Now it’s downhill all the way (except, of course, as he leaves New Orleans, which as we all know now, is below sea level).
Time zone - check. State line - check. Drive friendly? Proud home? Hey, which Texas is this?
Rolling into Amarillo, Glenn gets only his second flat for the entire trip so far. Fortunately, for every flat there is a fix, and for every fix, grateful thanks to the staff of Academy for service above and beyond the call of duty.
Maybe this is something to do with the ‘Drive Friendly” bit?
Then leaving Amarillo, the unthinkable happens. Glenn gets another flat. This one he fixes himself, but it leaves him with no spare.
This leaves Glenn pondering the totally ludicrously unthinkable, a third flat on the same day, and this time with no spare.
Good time for the Ramada to appear...
